469th International City of Peace
Supporting Teen Mothers Who Are Alone

TEEN MOTHERS. Supporting “40 teen mothers and their babies, some as young as one day old,” is the mission of new Liaison Tracy Nick. “International Cities of Peace is a platform to share this vision with like-minded individuals and organizations worldwide.” Tracy founded Starting Point Solution in Oyugis, Kenya, our 469th member City of Peace. Their teen mothers’ program “tries to address the stigmatization, early marriages, poverty, school dropout and rejection around teen pregnancy. We provide a safe home for every vulnerable teen mother, we offer sponsorship to these girls and employ staffs and volunteers who help look after their babies while they study. We have older married women and men, who always counsel the girls and act as parents to these vulnerable girls as they go through their rehabilitation.” Stacy is a coach at the AFC Stoneham Kenya Soccer Academy and, along with her colleagues, is helping young girls find peace, support and love — the true work of peace. We commend and are proving free services to this initiative in Kenya.
